for the book-lovers: a 2024 holiday gift guide

Hi, friends! It’s quickly becoming the holiday season and one of my fav things to peruse are gift guides. I plan to release one guide per day for the next ten (10) days, so stay tuned! First up, a gift guide for the bookworms of your life!

In addition to gifting a book (your favorite or one on someone’s TBR list, these are the perfect additions to a bookish themed Christmas gift). Enjoy!

one: this glocusent reading light. this light lasts FOREVER, has three different light settings (yellow, more white and more blue), with also 3 dimnesses (is that a word?) to choose from. it hooks onto the back of your book pages, isn’t so heavy it makes the book bend as you near the end (IYKYK) AND it charges via USB (without a cord). would make a great stocking stuffer!

two: this sunshine town DIY book nook for your bookshelf. okay, so my besties and i did a craft night a few months ago where we assembled our own little book nooks. they take WAY longer than 3 hours (i think we clocked like 8+ total), but it’s a fun project to work on, plus it lights up and looks very cute between your books once it’s done. if you liked legos as a kid, or ever wanted to dabble in building/electrical work, or you’re praying for patience (LOL) this is a very fun book adjacent gift. disclaimer: no for real, you have to build EVERYTHING. little lights? wired myself. also maybe buy an extra tube of super glue if you buy this as a gift.

three: okay, this might be a splurge, but amazon JUST released the new kindle paperwhites and they’re faster, better, lovelier than ever. my husband had a kindle that i have inherited, and my favorite part is that if you use the Libby library app, you can get the library books to download on the kindle, which makes being team BYKE (bring your kindle everywhere) veryyyyy doable. if/when mine kicks the can, you know i’ll be getting the matcha colored one! there will also be great black friday/cyber monday deal on this.

four: if you love books and you’re collecting your own personal library, a book stamp OR a book embosser is the BEST GIFT. i have gifted and been gifted these (one with my maiden name and one with my new last name) and it’s so special to be able to emboss or stamp your books to make them part of your very own library. HIGHLY recommend, plus supporting creators on etsy is a nice addition!

five: piggy-backing off of #3 (for the kindle peeps), if you know someone who reads and loves e-books, either via kindle, phone OR iPad, this gooseneck tablet/kindle holder is something i have my eye on! imagine laying in bed and being able to lay down and read. #luxury also, if you’re feeling REALLY FANCY, you can get them this KINDLE PAGE TURNER so you literally can stay in a cocoon and not lift a finger.

six: this ‘bookish’ sweatshirt is so cutie for your best book pals. actually, ANYTHING from the bookish goods is a win (they’ve got bookbags, stickers, bookmarks, etc etc etc).

seven: books + coffee are a magnificent pair, and this book club rifle paper co. mug is a great bookish gift for your favorite bookworm!

eight: this bookstand is great for side-tables and nightstands as a place the book you’re currently reading, plus your coffee, phone, or reading glasses. i got this for my M-I-L and the quality is actually quite lovely!

nine: the final bookish gift i’ve got on my radar is this CUTIE book stack christmas ornament. this one is cute, but if you’re looking for one that’s a little cheaper, there’s this one from magnolia or this one at target.

hope this helps you give a thoughtful gift to the readers in your life! 📚
